Along with a general toilet paper shortage, it’s becoming more and more difficult to find disinfecting wipes in stores due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. If you haven’t had a chance to stock up on antibacterial wipes in time and are on a hunt for disinfecting wipes, let us assure you it is very simple to create mason jar disinfecting wipes yourself. All you need is a few ingredients and a little bit of time. Our very own Cathleen Goff had a lot of fun taking you through the creation process step-by step. Follow the instructions below or skip ahead to watch the video.
What You’ll Need:
- 1 mason jar
- 2 cups of water
- 1 cup of alcohol OR 2 tablespoons of Clorox (whichever is available)
- 1 tablespoon of dish soap
- Paper towels
Let’s get started…
Mix the water, alcohol (or Clorox) and dish soap in a mason jar.
Take any roll of paper towels (in this case it’s blue shop towels) and cut it to the height of the mason jar less 1 inch. Remove enough paper towels from the roll to allow it to fit into the mason jar.
Submerge the paper towels in the solution.
Remove the center of the paper towel roll and dispense the paper towels from the center of the roll.
